until closed): Job Description: If you love the great outdoors and
working hard with your hands alongside a supportive and friendly
team, then the job of groundskeeper at the Nebraska Department of
Transportation (NDOT) may be ideal for you! Groundskeepers maintain
and improve the landscapes around buildings and facilities, making
sure that our Lincoln locations always look their best! This is
temporary employment for up to 9 months. Teammates working an
assignment of 6 months or more are benefits eligible! Job Duties:
Mow and maintain the grounds for two NDOT locations. Remove snow
and ice in the winter months during regular business hours and
after hours as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: No specific
education, training, or experience is required for entry to this
class. Preferred Qualifications: Prior groundskeeping experience.
Valid Driver's License. Other: Regular and reliable attendance is
required. Knowledge, S kills and A bilities: Effective
communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, climb,
bend, stoop, and work outside in temperature extremes. If you're
