Job Description:

Great opportunity to work with a team producing and designing signs for the Omaha market. Operate, CNC-router, Flatbed Printer, Wide Format printer and more.

Summary of Position:

The Production Specialist is responsible for preparing substrates/media and producing all graphic/signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline. This person serves as backup to the Production Manager and assists with inventory management. The Production Specialist is responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area.

Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Operation and Maintenance of Equipment
--- Operate plotter, laminator, flatbed and roll-to-roll printers to produce client jobs
--- Operate sign cutters, saws, drills and other sign-building equipment as needed
--- Maintain cleanliness and operation of sign-building equipment to ensure efficiency in production

Quality:
--- Maintain superior quality on all individual work
--- Work with team members to ensure superior quality on all jobs produced

Inventory:
--- Monitor sign substrate / material inventory and report to management in a timely manner to ensure consistency in production flow and avoid production shutdowns

End-of-Day Procedures:
--- Keep the work zone tidy and clutter-free

General:
--- Participate in daily production meetings
--- Work with management to reschedule workloads as necessary to meet promised due dates
--- Maintain a clean and organized work area
--- Abide by center policies/procedures as outlined

Qualifications:
--- Qualifications & Skills:
--- High School Diploma
--- Previous experience operating and maintaining printing and sign production equipment
--- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment
--- Comfortable with and ability to use simple hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc---) and lift 30 pounds
--- Professional, upbeat, positive attitude
--- Sharp attention to detail
--- Keen multi-tasking abilities
--- Ability to work independently and as an integral team member

Experience in the following is a definite plus but not mandatory:
--- Previous experience in the sign / graphic industry
--- Knowledge of sign / graphic industry substrates, media, and products
--- Design software applications
--- Adobe InDesign - current version
--- Adobe Illustrator - current version
--- Microsoft Office - current version (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
--- FlexiSign - current version
--- Wide-format and/or flatbed printers, vinyl plotter, laminator and/or Onyx RIP operation
--- Color management concepts and procedures
