care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000
chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an
aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in
surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds
that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As
a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated,
quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our
out-patient clinic partnerships.The Nurse Manager is responsible
for the implementation of new centers as applicable, and for the
ongoing management and the strategic growth of the outpatient Wound
Care Center. The Nurse Manager oversees day-to-day program
operations and clinical activities and is responsible for clinical,
quality and operational management, performance improvement, and
human resources management of the wound care center staff. This
position is responsible for maintaining collaborative and
consultative client relationships, integrating programs within the
hospital organization and creating effective working relationships
within the company, both internal and external to the hospital
organization. They may assist in a center with care, if needed
based on center activity when they are on site.All Healogics
employees should perform their job responsibilities according to
Healogics clinical and employee policies, and Hospital policies, as
well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation,
and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
guidelines, as applicable.Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital
and Healogics standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board
of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other
governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against
standards; making or recommending adjustments. Also ensures the
wound care center functions both operationally and clinically at
the highest standards.Provides day to day management oversight for
outpatient and inpatient center.
- Continuously analyzes systems and processes; develops and
implements best practices and appropriate changes to improve
outcomes in a timely manner.
- Monitors center flow to improve efficiency and
productivity.
- Works with the hospital and company personnel to ensure
availability of resources, supplies, equipment and services.
- Develops communication methods to facilitate the flow of
information and maximize effective communication.
- Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities, provides
direct supervision to wound care center staff
- Manages and/or coordinates all aspects of the revenue cycle and
financial reporting for patient care including: inquiry conversion,
scheduling, registration, treatment authorization, documentation,
coding, charge entry, billing, collections and, denial processes.
Implements audit and reconciliation processes to ensure
accuracy.
- Reviews and analyzes key financial reports, identifies key
indicator trends and develops plans to ensure best practices are
implemented to appropriately maximize center and overall program
profitability.
- Partners with the Operations Manager and Wound Care Consultant
to ensure marketing and community education plan supports the
hospital and Healogics market specific activities
- Recruits, interviews, hires and manages personnel in
conjunction with the company/hospital's Human Resources Department.
Establishes performance expectations, provides regular feedback and
consistently manages to these expectations. Completes performance
appraisals, promotes staff development activities, utilizes
performance improvement procedures as necessary, and adheres to the
hospital/company policies and procedures. Develops an effective
team, motivates and influences staff to excel.
- Maintains excellent relationship with hospital client and
continuously seeks to understand needs, confirm goal alignment and
demonstrate value proposition. Identifies the hospital strategic
goals and objectives and manages the program to achieve those
goals. Integrates effectively and seamlessly at all levels within
the client organization.
- Reviews clinical results with Local Medical Director and has a
strong relationship with all providers in all sites of service to
review clinical results and function as program advocates.
- Participates in hospital committees as appropriate.Required
Education, Experience And Credentials
- Bachelor in Science in Nursing (BSN) and prior experience as
clinical nurse in acute care setting
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Master of science
in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in Business preferred
- Two (2) or more years' management experience
- Experience in wound care preferred
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) license - to maintain throughout
the duration of employment in the positionRequired Knowledge,

ranges between $79,301.00-$90,820.00 AnnuallyThis range is an
estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education,
experience, geography as well as operational needs and other
