Hospice RN on CallHillcrest Health Services is looking for an experienced and organized RN with excellent communication skills to join our On Call Hospice team!This is a full time position being on call 7 days, then off 7 days. Call is 5pm through 8am and begins on Monday through to the following Monday. You will have a second 7 on/7 off RN working as your teammate with additional support from the Night Team for Continuous Care, Medical Director, Social Services, and the Administrator On-Call.What does Hillcrest have to offer? Answer calls in a timely fashion with accurate triaging and professionalism to patient/family/facility. Assess the physical, functional, psychosocial, and nutritional status of assigned patients in a systematic and continuous manner. Make initial visits to patient/family to explain hospice services, evaluates patient for appropriateness, admits patient, and initiates plan of care with authorization of the attending physician and medical director. Participates in service line meetings as required.What should I have to be considered for this position? Graduate from an accredited nursing program required. At least three years of experience as a nurse. At least two years of experience in hospice or home care setting preferred. Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a Registered Nurse. Must have valid drivers license. Must have reliable means of transportation and carry current automobile insurance.
