Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, and balloon angioplasties. Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and X-ray systems, to capture high-quality images during procedures. Prepare patients for catheterization procedures, including assisting with patient positioning, preparing the catheterization site, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Administer contrast media and medications (under supervision of a physician) according to established protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, during procedures and report any changes or concerns to the medical team. Assist in maintaining the sterile field and ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and properly sterilized. Provide support during emergency situations, assisting with resuscitation efforts or other critical procedures as needed. Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures, including patient information, imaging results, and any complications encountered. Ensure compliance with infection control standards, radiation safety guidelines, and hospital policies and protocols. Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient operations in the Cath Lab. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies, techniques, and advancements in cardiology and imaging.
