Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVPICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring peds and cardiac ICU experience, NE or compact RN license, and relevant certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting - Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00) - Unit has 32 beds with an average daily census of 21 patients - Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 - Patient population includes post-op open hearts, single ventricles, complex cardiac cases, heart transplant, and heart failure - Unit utilizes invasive cardiac monitoring (CVP, ART, RA) and cares for patients on ECMO and CRRT - Care involves management of vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips - Role involves managing critically ill pediatric cardiac patients on advanced life support and monitoring - First-time travelers are accepted for this position - Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible for this travel assignment - Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for consideration /n /n Requirements/n - Active NE or compact RN license - At least 2 years of pediatric and cardiac ICU nursing experience required - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required - Experience with invasive cardiac monitoring, ECMO, and CRRT preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-640068.
