A healthcare facility near Syracuse, NE is seeking a Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician for a locum tenens position. Position Details: Location: Near Syracuse, Nebraska Shift Type: Days with after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities On Call: Nightly and weekend calls required Availability: October, November, and December Flexible scheduling: 3-5 days over weekends or up to a full week at a time Two weeks per month, with possible separation Hours: Clinic: 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Call handoff: 8:00 a.m. (weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Job Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Maternal fetal medicine consults in clinic Reading ultrasounds for MFM and general obstetrics Supporting inpatient ultrasound consultations Private delivery patient consultations and nurse-midwife backup (occasional) Clinic patient load: 15-20 patients/day Hospital Responsibilities: Standard maternal fetal medicine procedures in a hospital setting (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum) Requirements: Board Certified OB/GYN with MFM Subspecialty Required Active Nebraska License Highly Preferred OB/GYN Residency & MFM Fellowship Required Certifications: Active BLS, DEA, NRP Required Clean Malpractice/Background Highly Preferred Local candidates (within driving distance) Highly Preferred Must be available for the dates specified in the job description Compensation and Benefits: Travel and Lodging: Air travel, rental cars, and mileage reimbursed according to specific guidelines Lodging expenses covered, with reimbursement up to 1.5x the standard rate Other Details: Credentialing timeline: 60-90 days EMR System: EPIC Support Staff: On-site ultrasound techs and front desk support This locum tenens position offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing maternal fetal medicine services to a well-established practice.
