Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,318 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EVD experience required Joint commission stroke certified facility experience required EPIC charting experience required Description: This is an intensive care unit position. The nurse will provide care for adult patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, strokes, epilepsy, and other head traumas. Patients do not go to recovery room post-op; they will return to the unit for recovery. The unit is multi-care level, and nurses should be prepared to care for up to five Med Surg patients. External ventricular drains (EVDs) are placed at the bedside. Patients may require EEG leads implanted in the brain to detect seizures. These patients can be on the unit for up to three weeks. A detailed knowledge of drips is required on all floors. Nurses will float within scope to meet facility needs. They may float to other units, including but not limited to various medical surgical areas. Care teams include care techs, LPNs, and transport staff. This is a 100% nicotine-free facility. The nurse is required to work 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. There is a requirement to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Travelers must submit RTO requests with their application. No local candidates accepted; travel candidates must be more than 100 miles from the facility. The candidate must complete compliance documents by a specified deadline. Travelers are required to go into labs within 48-72 hours of accepting the position. All contracts must end on a Sunday.
