Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,318 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and CPI preferred Must-Have: - Must be comfortable taking care of a behavioral health patient population. - EPIC charting experience required. - Previous behavioral health experience in an acute care hospital preferred. Description: This position offers a 36 or 48-hour weekly option with a contract duration of either 13 or 26 weeks. The unit consists of a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit, along with orthopedic patients. Patients may include those recovering from total knee and hip replacements, as well as complex orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. The unit is split across two floors. The secured 7th floor treats medical surgical patients with underlying behavioral health conditions. Travelers will receive training for safety and de-escalation. Ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with occasional 1:7 during nights. Travelers will float within the scope to meet facility needs, which may include floating to other campuses or units. The unit features a diverse care team, which includes care techs, transport teams, and LPNs on some floors. Weekend shifts requirement: four weekend shifts out of eight in a four-week period. Holiday requirement: travelers must work two out of three major holidays. The facility operates as a 100% nicotine-free environment.
