Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience and
proficiency in all service lines Description: MUST HAVE LEVEL 1
TRAUMA EXPERIENCE. Must achieve 90% on a pass/fail exam during
orientation or face termination. Driver's license required for
determining radius eligibility. Artificial nails are prohibited;
refusal to comply will lead to termination. Common cases include
all diagnoses and all ages; pediatrics in emergency situations.
Surgeries performed range from general and laparoscopic to
orthopedic and neuro procedures. Experience in all service lines is
required. There is a manager/charge nurse available on each shift.
OR techs are present in the operating room. The electronic medical
record system used is EPIC. Shifts are typically 8 or 12 hours,
with self-scheduling based on department needs. There may be
on-call requirements during weekdays and weekends, including
rotation for holidays. No floating outside of the operating room is
permitted. Green scrubs are provided. One week of unit-specific
orientation is required. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4
shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment. Charting is done
using EPIC. BSN is not required. Trauma Level is 1. Care setting is
acute. Division is nursing. Shifts include 12-hour days. Required
certifications are ACLS and BLS. Requirements Required for
