Job Description Vista Staffing is seeking a Physician Assistant Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens job in Omaha, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery - Discipline: Physician Assistant - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Locum Tenens Are you a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Nebraska might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights Schedule: M-F 0700-1600 for routine daily operative coverage and some clinic. Call starts each night at 1700 and is an operative call only by surgeon discretion. If covering, would be on call every night including weekend call. Job Setting: Academic medical center, Level 1 trauma facility (low volume trauma calls). CUMC for CT, may require some work at network hospitals but minimal. Types of Cases: Operative first assist and EVH for cardiothoracic cases. Routine AVR, MVR, CABG's, and routine cardiac surgeries. May also be for some routine vascular and/or thoracic surgeries. Specific procedures include: CABG with EVH, AVR, MVR, Pericardial Window, VATS, Thoracotomy, AV fistula, Permacath, Carotid Endarterectomy, LE Bypass, AAA, LE angiogram, PD cath, BKA, AKA, Inari, EKOS, Vein Ablation, Wound debridement. Credentialing: 90 days ideally, but can be done in a shorter time frame if needed. Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified as a PA Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA, NCCPA Licensure: NE License highly preferred, can consider non-licensed who will need to obtain (must be able to obtain by April). Site can also consider LT license for this assignment. Clean malpractice preferred. Prior CTS experience with independently harvesting veins and experience with first assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery cases required.
