the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Oncology RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Job Title:

Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: Nebraska RN
License required Certifications: BLS; ACLS and Chemo preferred
Must-Have: - Recent experience in a large urban hospital - EPIC
charting experience - Ability to float to various units as needed
Description: This is a mixed acuity unit serving adult oncology
patients. Patients receive chemotherapy or high-dose chemotherapy,
with or without bone marrow or stem cell transplant. The unit
administers complex medication and blood product administration.
Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float
frequently to meet staffing needs. Registered nurses may care for
up to five Med Surg patients. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4
during the day and 1:5 at night. BLS certification is required.
ACLS and Chemo certification are preferred. All RNs must be able to
handle drips on all floors. Travelers do not administer
chemotherapy. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they
have two years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
RNs will float within their scope to meet facility needs which may
include various units. Four weekend shifts out of eight are
expected in a four-week period. Travelers are required to work two
out of three major holidays. RTO restrictions allow up to two weeks
pending approval. All travelers must comply with facility policies
regarding nicotine use. Scrubs are mandatory: RNs must wear
designated scrubs with the organization’s logo. Additional details
regarding uniform supply will be shared upon confirmation. This
facility is a comprehensive care provider, known for serving some
of the most complex patients. Staff includes teams such as IV
teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy. Nurses in this unit handle a
wide variety of medical and surgical oncology cases. Patients cared
for include those with various types of cancer and other complex
health conditions. Travelers must adhere to all compliance and
