Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required - No first-time
travelers accepted unless they have 3 years of experience at a
Level I Trauma Center in PICU - 100% nicotine-free facility
Description: Candidates may be placed on call for regularly
scheduled shifts. All staff may be required to function as a rover
nurse/task nurse on any inpatient unit. This includes duties in
mixed-acuity care settings. Rover nurses perform tasks such as
turns, repositioning, bathing, assistance with patient transport,
ambulation, meal assistance, and medication administration (within
individual comfort zone and training). Expected patient ratios are
1:2 for PICU, 1:3 for PCU, and 1:4 for Acute care. RNs must work
across the acuity spectrum. All requested days off should be
stipulated in contracts. Scheduling is performed by the unit
manager according to unit needs, and requests for shift preferences
will be considered but are not guaranteed. Minimum weekend
commitment is three weekend shifts along with one designated
weekday for day travelers. No self-scheduling is permitted for
traveling staff. Travelers must work two out of three major
holidays. Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside
more than 100 miles from the facility. Pending licenses are
acceptable, but must be submitted on time. RNs must wear designated
scrubs with the facility logo. A consent form for the compliance
document is required. Contracts must end on a Sunday, following a
Monday to Sunday workweek. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination
requirements is mandatory; exemptions are limited to medical or
religious reasons. The facility maintains a 100% nicotine-free
policy. RNs must be willing to float to all care areas to perform
task or rover duties. Regular attendance at mandatory charting
training is required for travelers. Weekend and holiday
requirements must be clearly outlined in contracts. Requirements
