Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Omaha, NE Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $2,000 to $2,150 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Omaha, NE Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift (12 hours x 3 days/week) Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,150 per week (Based on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions in a fast-paced clinical setting. Key Responsibilities: Assess, treat, and monitor patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support Manage mechanical ventilators and airway devices Perform diagnostic tests such as ABGs (arterial blood gases) and pulmonary function tests Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response calls Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory care and treatments Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols Requirements: Active RRT credential from NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) Valid state license to practice in Nebraska Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred/required per facility) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (preferred, if applicable) Strong critical thinking and patient care skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
