Job Description:

Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is looking for a dedicated Local CDL Driver to join our team. This role is critical in providing reliable and efficient waste collection services to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As a Local CDL Driver, you will operate company vehicles, focusing on safety and compliance with environmental regulations while representing our commitment to customer satisfaction and community well-being. Operate waste collection vehicle to collect solid waste on assigned route within the municipal and county regulations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure functionality and safety. Coordinate with the route manager to communicate customer concerns and ensure timely collection services. Adhere to company policies and local traffic laws to minimize risk and enhance safety on the road. Maintain a clean and sanitary condition of the vehicle, including the cab and truck body. Manage route documentation and provide service confirmation upon completion. Assist helpers in loading and unloading truck when necessary. Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles including roll-off, front, side, and rear-end loading trucks. Strong understanding of local traffic laws and road safety. Ability to perform physical requirements such as lifting, pushing, and pulling. Good communication and customer service skills. Capability to use service-related technology and basic navigation tools.
