    Summary
    Performs project and administrative duties for VP of Human Resources. Perform duties of a highly confidential nature.

    Essential Functions
    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Provide administrative support, to include telephone coverage, copier projects, mail handling, supplies control and necessary communications internally and externally.
    • Organizes and holds corporate sponsored events.
    • Chair of location specific events committee.
    • Type correspondence, to include word processing/typing of letters, memos, forms, policies, and procedures (includes handling of confidential information).
    • Maintain secure files to protect confidential information.
    • Act as a project manager for special projects which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, and organizing companywide events.
    • Assist the VP of Human Resources in the management of their schedule, travel planning, and handle calls from both internal and external sources.
    • Assist with reporting, budgeting, and annual planning functions.
    • Maintain vendor contract files, maintenance agreement files and all copyright files.
    • Maintains confidentiality of calendar, department activities, and all project work.
    • Assists other executive staff members as necessary.

      Supervisory Responsibility
      This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

      Work Environment
      This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

      Physical Demands
      The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

      This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
      This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required, based on business need.

      Travel
      Infrequent day travel can be expected to other office locations. Overnight travel could be expected, but would be a rare occurrence.

      Experience
      • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
      • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
      • Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
      • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Education
        • Associates degree(A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or three or more year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Eligibility Qualifications
          • Maintains a valid Driver's License and be insurable under company insurance provider/programSecurity Clearance
