Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations or policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining authorization of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DAAPM, DCID 6-3) and participate in and document process activities. Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Document the results of Assessment and Authorization activities and prepare the System Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M. Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.Responsibilities of an ISSM include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the system security program and policies for their assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring compliance with current cyber security policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing a new system.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical securitysafeguards, and operational security measures.
  • Possessing sufficient experience, commanding adequate resources, and being organizationally aligned to ensure prompt support and successful execution of a robust system security program.
  • Developing, documenting, and monitoring compliance with and reporting of the clearedcontractor facility's system security program in accordance with Cognizant Security Activity (CSA) guidelines for management, operational, and technical controls.
  • Submitting the security plan and supporting artifacts to the ISSP for review and consideration.
  • Ensuring all system security documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Maintaining the system in accordance with the security plan and Authorization to Operate (ATO).
  • Managing, maintaining, and executing the continuous monitoring strategy.
  • Ensuring configuration management policies and procedures are followed.Basic Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree with 3 years of experience OR a Bachelors' Degree with 5 years of experience OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience OR a Highschool Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
    • Must have an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
    • Must have a DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification (Examples include: CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP) OR must be able to obtain this required certification within 6 months of start date.
    • Must have working knowledge of the NISPOM and DAAPMPreferred Qualifications:
      • IAM Level III Certification (CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO)
      • Experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) working with DAAPM, NISPOM and eMASS in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs,
      • Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers
      • Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
      • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables. Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment

        Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
