Job Description:
The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical,
Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is adding a Mechanical
Estimator to our Omaha office!This position will perform mechanical
quotes/estimates and accurately build pre-construction and
construction documents across a wide range of commercial projects.
The main goal is to provide detailed reports that will enable the
corporation to make informed decisions to enhance profitability and
growth.Key duties include:Review mechanical drawings/specifications
to prepare estimatesIncorporate feedback from various departments
to better provide accurate quotes, pricing and information to the
clientPerform detailed cost estimates by breaking down items of
work on an orderly and logical basisIdentify and compute costs
after reviewing specific labor, material and time
requirementsObtain quotes for materials, services and
sourcesMaintain a cost database for future referenceWhile utilizing
Waldinger standards, assist with process improvement and the
development of procedures.Requirements:Experience estimating
Plumbing and Piping projects, preferably $5-10M+Engineering or
Construction Management degree or equivalent experienceExperience
with Estimating softwareDemonstrated understanding of Construction
DocumentsThe ability to multi-task in a fast-paced
environmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOral and
written communications skillsMS Office proficiencyThe ability to
work independently as well as with a teamOrganized and
