Job Description Job Description Position Overview We are seeking
an accomplished sales leader to oversee all aspects of revenue
strategy, execution, and organizational growth within a rapidly
expanding enterprise SaaS organization serving the government
contracting (GovCon) market. This role requires a proven track
record of scaling high-performing sales teams, closing complex
enterprise deals, and driving adoption of advanced technology
solutions—including AI-driven workflow automation—across large
government contractors and system integrators. Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute comprehensive sales
strategies that drive consistent ARR growth, strengthen market
position, and achieve ambitious revenue targets. Executive
Engagement: Build trusted relationships with C-level and VP-level
executives to advance opportunities, navigate complex procurement
processes, and establish long-term partnerships. Team Development:
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance sales organization,
including Sales, Sales Engineering, Business Development, and Sales
Operations functions. Deal Management: Oversee contract
negotiations, compliance considerations, and client satisfaction to
ensure successful deal closure and renewal. Market Positioning:
Lead discussions on pricing models, pilot programs, and competitive
differentiation to effectively position solutions in the
marketplace. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align Sales with
Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive
go-to-market strategy and optimized customer experience.
Partnership Development: Identify, develop, and manage strategic
channel and business development partnerships to accelerate market
penetration and customer acquisition. Performance Management:
Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators
(KPIs), including customer acquisition cost (CAC), win rate, sales
cycle length, quarterly OKRs, and quota attainment. Pipeline
Oversight: Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM
tools (e.g., Salesforce) while driving accountability and
follow-through across the team. Market Insight: Provide actionable
feedback to internal teams on product enhancements, usability, and
customer needs to inform product roadmap and go-to-market
adjustments. Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of
the GovCon and federal procurement landscape, including compliance,
pricing, and regulatory frameworks. Brand Representation: Represent
the organization at industry events, conferences, and thought
leadership forums to strengthen brand presence and evangelize
AI-driven solutions. Key Qualifications Experience: 10 years in
Enterprise Sales or Account Management within SaaS organizations,
including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity with a
demonstrated ability to close complex 6- to 7-figure deals.
Industry Knowledge: 20 years of experience in the federal
government contracting sector, with deep expertise across business
development, capture management, and proposal operations within
FAR-based frameworks. Technical Acumen: Proven success selling
enterprise SaaS or advanced technology solutions (ideally
AI-enabled or workflow automation platforms) to large government
contractors and system integrators. Financial & Operational
Expertise: Strong command of revenue forecasting, pipeline
management, and P&L oversight for multi-million-dollar
portfolios. Strategic & Tactical Leadership: A hands-on operator
capable of balancing high-level strategy with day-to-day deal
execution and team enablement. Relationship Management: Exceptional
ability to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders
and influence adoption of innovative technology solutions. Startup
/ Growth-Stage Experience: Demonstrated success scaling teams,
developing go-to-market strategies, and expanding into new markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to align sales,
product, and delivery functions to drive customer success and
retention. GovCon Proficiency: Working knowledge of federal
acquisition regulations (FAR), procurement processes, and
compliance requirements (preferred). Motivation & Curiosity:
