Director to lead and oversee physical therapy services for
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Pay
starts at a minimum starting wage $38.022, Plus $3.00 per hour
facility differential for every hour worked. Minimum permanent rate
$39.924, after successful completion of original probation. Hours:
Monday through Friday/Day hours. Key Responsibilities: Establish
and implement goals and policies for the Physical Therapy
Department. Supervise physical therapy services, both in therapy
rooms and within living units. Oversee evaluations, treatment
plans, and re-evaluations for residents. Construct adaptive devices
to support resident needs. Provide guidance to professional staff
on complex treatment programs. Evaluate staff performance and
ensure high-quality service delivery. Consult with physicians on
physical therapy programs for individual residents. Develop and
oversee training programs for physical therapy staff. Participate
in interdisciplinary team meetings to review resident care plans.
Perform physical therapy treatments as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s
degree in Physical Therapy or a related field plus Five years of
progressively responsible experience in physical therapy services.
Legal Requirements: Registered as a Physical Therapist in the State
of Nebraska is required Knowledge of: Principles and practices of
physical therapy Human growth and development, including physical
disabilities, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities
Techniques and equipment used in physical therapy treatment
programs Prosthetics and orthopedic devices used in therapy and
rehabilitation Ability to: Prepare diagnostic evaluations and
document residents’ responses to therapeutic programs Supervise and
guide subordinate staff in treatment programs Skill in: Therapeutic
