to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Job

experience Experience in a large, urban hospital Ability to float
within scope Description: The position involves providing intensive
care to adult patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries,
strokes, epilepsy, and other head traumas. You will be responsible
for caring for patients who may be post-operative and require
recovery in the unit. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support
from care teams such as techs and paramedics. The RN will manage up
to five Med Surg patients as needed. EVDs will be placed at the
bedside, and experience with this procedure is crucial. Patients
requiring EEG leads to monitor seizure activity may stay for
extended periods. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of
four weekend shifts in an eight-week period. Holidays are also part
of the requirement, with a commitment to work two of three major
holidays. All staff members are required to be nicotine-free. The
facility strictly follows infection control protocols and requires
adherence to all safety guidelines. You must demonstrate expertise
in managing various critical care situations and procedures.
Travelers must remain flexible and adaptable while providing care
in a challenging environment. Submitting requests for time off must
be done upfront, as additional requests post-confirmation may be
denied. Appropriate scrub attire is mandated as part of the role. 5
